Plano Community Homes is comprised of four campuses, three located in Plano and one located in Denton, TX. All campuses serve low-income seniors and those with physical disabilities through various grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Applicants for all properties must meet the income limits and the terms of the lease. Resident rent is based upon one’s income with a portion being subsidized by the Federal Government. Pets are always welcome.

No longer drive? No worries, our transportation department will get you where you need to go and offers weekly trips to Walmart and the grocery store. Need assistance navigating Medicare, Medicaid, billing payment plans, finding services to remain as independent as possible and most importantly, having an advocate? The Service Coordinator will be there to help you. And each resident is given an emergency pendant/watch to borrow while living at Plano Community Home Sponsored Properties in case they need emergency assistance.

A variety of activities are offered throughout the month. When planning, staff balances educational, social, emotional, spiritual, physical, programs of diversity, volunteer opportunities and special holiday programs to meet the resident’s needs.

All Campuses have many common area spaces for residents to gather. These include a large community room, a sitting room with a library, an activity room, game room, exercise room and a resident computer lab.  Some campuses also have a fenced-in area where pets too can enjoy the outdoors.

Administrative, office and maintenance staff are available Monday-Friday from 8-5. Part-time staff covers the evening and the Resident Managers live on property and respond to emergencies overnight.  There is a staff member onsite all day, every day and on call staff as needed.
