To our supporters and followers of the Coalition for Aging LGBT:
On March 17 we shared some updates on our organization operations as we navigate the impact of the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Pandemic.
Our organization’s mission is now more vital than ever as we come together as a community to continue to support the aging members of our LGBT community during these difficult times.
Today we are sharing additional organization updates as we continue to respond to announcements, advisories and government mandates.
We continue to be business as usual as we serve the needs of our community members and adhere to all advisories across our service area. Our physical presence may be different today, but our commitment and service remain the same.
How Our Work Has Evolved:
Our top priority continues to be both the health and safety of our community members and the organization while improving and protecting the quality of life of older LGBT adults in North Texas. We continue to closely monitor the status of the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 global pandemic and review all Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommended guidelines.
We look forward to staying connected with you on Facebook, our website, and through email communication. For questions or additional information, please contact us at contact@cfa.lgbt.
Sincerely,
The Board of Directors of the Coalition for Aging LGBT

How Our Work Has Evolved:
- Our social engagement committees of our four counties are deploying new digital ways to connect and serve each county.
- Tarrant County hosts virtual meetups for “Let’s Do Lunch” and other events while sharing information with community members about senior healthcare and staying healthy and safe.
- Denton County is organizing a new way to connect with our newly formed “Denton County Brunch Bunch.”
- Our Housing Committee has transitioned to virtually working with our current senior community partners to continue their presence in our next senior housing guide.
- We continue to participate in virtual advocacy and educational opportunities with community resources and partners. If you know of an event we can assist in, if there is information that needs to be shared or if someone who needs assistance, please let us know.
- We publish relevant and regular Healthcare newsletters for our community. All newsletters published can be found here.
